Peter Veress, President

Peter's passion is seeing the integration of temporary foreign workers and immigrant communities into the Canadian economy and society. He is a frequent presenter on immigration topics. Peter graduated with a Political Science degree from the University of Calgary and Applied Public Relations from Mount Royal College. He has worked as an immigration officer with the Canadian Federal Government's Department of Immigration.

Peter sits on numerous immigration related committees and is a member of immigration policy consultative groups. He is a past member of Calgary Catholic Immigration Society's and Calgary Immigrant Services Board of Directors. Peter is a registered member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) and is the President of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants - Prairie Chapter.
Miriam Ortega, Corporate Services:

Miriam oversees our Latin American Services division, with a focus on assisting Canadian companies recruit skilled workers from Latin America. She is a specialist in trades and unskilled labour positions as well as resettlement services for foreign workers in Canada. She has experience running several businesses in Mexico and working on various international projects for Canadian based companies. Miriam Ortega completed an MBA at the Haskayne School of Business in Calgary.
The Vermax Immigration Team:

Vermax Immigration is incorporated in the Province of Alberta. Its team brings more than 20 years of practical immigration consulting and Immigration representation experience.
  1. One partner and two staff are members of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), a requirement for representatives.

  2. In addition, the partners have more than 35 combined years of hands on, relevant Canadian and International business management and operations experience.

  3. The Vermax Immigration team is organized to provide assigned representatives to handle the needs of specific clients who understand the client’s needs, processes and particular expectations.

  4. Our experience includes working in the Canadian Federal Government Immigration Department plus managing an immigration consulting practice for 15 years. The benefit is access to critical government networks and an understanding of government policy and administrative processes.
